The Business Center was designed for Innovative Communications which owned several subsidiary companies.
A Community Bank, a daily newspaper, a cable television company and a cellular/wireless company were all housed in the business center.
The building site, comprised of the Caliche/Clay of central St. Croix., is highly expansive and not allowed to be subjected to additional wetting. Accordingly, landscaping requiring irrigation was prohibited.
Each of the super-scaled planters, housing the Lignum Vitae trees was required to be a complete ecosystem with self contained, irrigation, plant nutrition and sufficient drainage to avoid wetting the adjoining soil.
- The building surrounds a day-lighted atrium
- Complete Architectural services were provided by THE DEJONGH GROUP Architects
